ANOTHER SUMMER 2000 UPDATE! |
Here's a report on a newly discovered talent of our fellow alumnus, Bunnie Jordan! She's not only a talented quilter, but also has developed into quite an expert on antique quilts. I had the wonderful opportunity to see her at a show this summer at Sully Plantation in Virginia where she was appraising quilts. I brought her one of mine (not old, not large, not pretty, not well done) to appraise. After we had a laugh over that, I got to see quilts from her own antique quilt collection in the Plantation House. It was a great exhibit. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of her own handmade quilts as they are going around the country as part of a quilt exhibition. Very impressive, Bunnie! Keep up the good work! |
JULY UPDATE! A MINI-REUNION! |
On July 1, on a beautiful, sunny day at the Baltimore Harbor, I got to visit with Paula and Debbie. Paula came up from Florida for a family reunion and drove to Baltimore from Delaware. Debbie drove in from Ijamsville, Maryland, and I drove up from Rockville, Maryland. Guess what? We haven't changed at all! We decided it was time to think about another beach reunion. Our goal is to try for another Rehoboth Beach weekend (Friday through Sunday) during the month of September, 2001. That would make it 33 years since graduation!
Here's where I need some help. Anyone with any knowledge
of the whereabouts of any of the alumnae of our class, please direct them either to the
In addition, if anyone will be near Baltimore and wants to have a mini-reunion, just let the mailing list know. A mini-reunion can be put together informally and quickly. Paula, Debbie, and I proved that. All plans were made by email!
