Josh is doing well at Montgomery College where he is majoring in computers and is thinking of information technology as a career. Another Bill Gates? We'll have to wait and see. Of his four courses this semester, two of them are on-line. Great for sleeping in!

Josh continues to work at Best Buy in the media department where he must deal with a variety of challenging customers who are seeking a particular CD or video game. Now, having gotten used to this extra bit of income, Josh frequently uses his money to add to his vast collection of videos, CD's, video game systems and computer parts. His latest and best acquisition so far is the brand new Play Sation 2 by Sony. Yes, he was able to get it on its first day of release!

He's also taken another part time job with the Montgomery County Public School system installing computers and computer-related equipment into various schools throughout the county. Boy, does he love getting paychecks from two places now!

Sadly, Avi's moped has been stolen from him a second time--this time directly off of our property and it has never been recovered. Avi is very upset about the whole situation--the loss, the expense, the unfair theft. His transportation is now limited to the Toyota he shares with his dad. Now that he has winter transportation, he'd like to find a job. Any leads? If so, please let him know.

Avi continues to attend classes at Montgomery College. This semester he's taking English, Math, History, and Physics. He's thinking of a career in electronic engineering or robotics. Very often he runs into old friends on campus. I think he's enjoying his classes, although he doesn't say much about them. I hear more about music, cars, parties, etc. You know, the important stuff! :-)

Jordana now is a freshman at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville. Among her electives, she chose Fundamentals of Art and Chinese!!! I'm forever asking her to translate soemthing whenever I see a Chinese character--whether she knows it or not. She just looks at me! :-) I think it's kind of neat that she's learning a language I don't even know! She's also teaching herself Japanese, an interest she derived from her interest in anime, the art of Japanese cartooning.

Her creativity is just blooming. She has been asked to design a web site for the Anime Club at her high school. In addition, she is a participant in 9th grade honors English. She just completed a delightful short story entitled "Spider" as an assignment for that class. I thought it was an especially creative piece of writing. She did get an "A" on it! :-)
