FOR THE LOVE OF FICTION

Welcome readers of fiction!

Although this site might look to you as if it's a book review site, it's not. It's my compilation of favorite works of fiction that I feel would be worthwhile and pleasurable reading for others. This is my version of Oprah's Book Club ! Shall we call it Madeline's Book Club? :-)

Yes, you'll find book reviews here, but you can also find book reviews on gazillions of other sites. Have you counted the number of reviews on Amazon.com yet?

My site is intended to point you in the direction of good fiction reading. I know. Everyone's taste is different. No problem. I even invite you to disagree with me, but you must share your thoughts with me when you don't like my choices. Drop me a thought or two at: SqueakyChu@hotmail.com . I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Now onward, lovers of fiction! Come join me. Grab cup of coffee, select a cozy chair, unplug your phone, and pick up one of the following novels to enjoy. Have fun!

Other News

I often write book reviews and submit them to Amazon.com. I LOVE seeing my reviews in print. :-) I also find it kind of challenging to try to get back into the top 1,000 reviewers.

Like to talk about fiction but not be forced to read the "Book of the Month" selected by your book club? Well, join FictionChat, a mailing list in which you can talk about any work of fiction at any time (even at 3 a.m.). We talk about books we like, books we don't like, and other book-related topics. Anyone can join, so please take a look.

Many thanks to Louis Drummeter, without whose inspiration, this page would not be here for everyone's enjoyment.
