This page is in honor of the group of Sherut La'amniks that shared a wonderful year in my life...that of a young professional volunteer in Israel. I'm no longer so young. I am still a professional, but now must work for a living!! I started a mailing list for those of us who'd like to keep in touch. I'm grateful to Simon for being my first guinea pig in signing up for my list! I'm hoping others will join soon. May 27, 2000: Carrie Gelula, daughter of Richard and Ellen Gelula,
brother of Joseph Gelula, and niece of Ken and Yocheved Gelula, celebrated
her bat mitzvah at Bnai Shalom of Olney, Maryland!
January, 2000, Brazil: Simon Flamenbaum said the fireworks on the beach of Rio de Janeiro to welcome the new Millenium were beautiful. Sorry we weren't all there to enjoy it with you. The northern hemisphere is COLD on New Year's Eve!!! :-)
