OY YOK SUNG

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 4 lbs. gound beef
  • Water from can of beans with more added to make 4 cups
  • 6 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 lb. can of green beans, drained
  • 3 Tbsp. corn starch
  • Hot cooked rice

Saute onions and garlic in oil over medium heat. Add beef, chopping and cooking, until it's well browned.

Add 3 3/4 cups water and the soy sauce. Bring to boil.

In a small bowl add corn starch to remaining 1/4 cup water. Stir well with a whisk and add to beef-bean mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Serve on hot cooked rice.

Yield: 8 servings
